Social Responsibility

Supporting Education Group works with schools, other educational institutions, communities and third party organisations to participate in, and where appropriate, financially support enterprise events and pastoral projects.

In 2012 we created National Teaching Assistants’ Day; an event designed to recognise and celebrate the valuable contribution teaching assistants make to the lives of thousands of children across England and Wales. We have now registered National Teaching Assistants’ Day as a National Awareness Day and will continue to support this annually.

As a business operating in local communities, we focus our CSR activity around supporting local community projects. We work with schools across the country to help them deliver individual projects, initiatives and fundraising activities that are important to them. This includes support such as sponsoring sports teams and events, supporting pupil recognition events, building gardens, funding school trips and equipping science labs.

For our candidates, we run training and professional development courses to support them in their careers. Recognising supply teachers have little or no access to school-based training, we offer a range of CPD courses to both experienced workers and individuals at the start of their careers. Our professional development events are designed to help equip candidates for specific roles with particular groups of pupils.
